July 4th and America 250 at Latitude 38°
Waterfront dining in downtown Annapolis. Steps from the parade. Steps from the fireworks. Steps from 250 years of American history.
The Semiquincentennial. In the City Where It All Began.
Two hundred and fifty years ago, a young country declared itself into being. Annapolis was there for the beginning — hosting the Continental Congress, seating George Washington as he resigned his commission, welcoming the world to a harbor that still hums the same way it did in 1776.
On Saturday, July 4, 2026, downtown Annapolis becomes the stage for America 250. And Latitude 38°, right on Dock Street and right on the water, is your basecamp for all of it.
Why Latitude 38° on the Fourth
Steps from the parade
The downtown Independence Day parade rolls down West Street at 6:30 p.m. We are a short walk away. Grab a late lunch before, or an early dinner after.
Front-row seat to the fireworks
The city fireworks display lights up the sky over Spa Creek at 9:15 p.m. Our waterfront deck and harbor-facing dining rooms put you closer than most.
In the middle of everything
The Maryland State House, the William Paca House, People's Park, and the United States Naval Academy are all within a few blocks. Wander the historic district, then come back to us for cold drinks and Chesapeake classics.
A menu built for the Bay
Maryland lump crab cakes, fresh oysters, cream of crab soup, and a full raw bar. If you are going to eat somewhere on America's 250th birthday, eat somewhere the food tastes like the country.
Save Room for Dessert
Right next door to the restaurant, our new dessert shop is open all day and into the night — the perfect stop before the fireworks or on the walk home. Come in for:
- Hand-scooped ice cream in classic and seasonal flavors
- Thick, old-fashioned milkshakes
- Fresh-made funnel cakes
- Sweet treats to go, so the parade route comes with you
